
In this step we build the query for our CustomerList report by selecting the file to query and then selecting the items in the file to include in the query.
To build the CustomerList query:
Select the file to query from the Data tab (in this tutorial, the CUSTOMERS file is selected).
The list of attributes in the selected file displays.
Select the Output checkbox for each item to add to the query (in this tutorial, the @ID (displays as ID_ID in the Fields dialog box), COMPANY_NAME, ADDRESS, CITY, STATE, and ZIP_CODE items are selected). Note that the items selected display in the query string pane below the items list.
Click the Execute current command (!) button.
The list of specified items from the specified file in the specified account (in this tutorial, Demo_PickDP) display in columnar format.
